Connect + Learn + Get Involved
Pella’s hub for Young Professionals!
A lively and young workforce thrives in Pella! It’s more than just work, it’s a community buzzing with opportunities for young professionals to connect and grow both personally and professionally. The Young Professionals of Pella are an active group that hosts events, educational sessions, community exploration, and a network to come together as a young residents.
Founded in 2006, Pella Young Professionals was created to connect and engage young adults in the community. What started with just four local professionals has grown into a thriving group that brings together individuals in their 20s and 30s for fun, meaningful connections. The group welcomes all kinds of people, whether you’re a teacher, nurse, welder, engineer, stay-at-home parent, or still exploring career options, everyone is invited to be part of the network.
Each month, Pella Young Professionals hosts a social event ranging from relaxed happy hours to outdoor activities and unique local experiences. Quarterly Lunch & Learns add an educational element, offering workshops and panels on topics relevant to young adults, such as home buying, career development, and volunteer opportunities. Whether you’re looking to meet new friends, grow professionally, or get more involved in the community, Pella Young Professionals provides opportunities to connect, learn, and have fun.
Who is a Young Professional?
Sometimes the name can conjure up images of business people in slacks or dresses, of lawyers and doctors and salespeople working 9-5 jobs. But to us, a young professional is anyone living or working in or around Pella. Young professionals are welders, teachers, engineers, construction workers, technicians, nurses, assistants, office workers, stay-at-home parents, and everything in between. Young Professionals are full-time, part-time, temp workers, interns, and those still looking for employment.
