About Us/Our Mission:

Marion County Human Society's mission is to humanely care for homeless pets, return them to their current owners, or adopt them to new loving homes. In addition we will educate the public about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering.

 

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Volunteer position is applicable for both adults and youth

Requirements or Special Skills: No, we can work with any level skill set.
Volunteer Position Description: Volunteers can help walk dogs (anytime facility is open), most are medium to large but we do get small dogs in as well. Bathe, brush, and play with dogs or puppies when available. They can also play with cats / kittens and groom them. We also have Sunday dog walking starting at 5pm. Facility is open Mondays 10-3, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 10-4 and Saturday 10-2.
