Childcare Provider for Parenting Classes
About Us/Our Mission:
Families First of Pella's mission is to strengthen families in the Pella area. Our goals are to build stronger family bonds, teach and support parenting skills, and affirm and enhance the self-worth of children and adults.
Volunteer Position Description: The volunteer will help provide childcare while the parents attend a parenting class.
Location: Pella
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Volunteer position is applicable for both adults and youth
Length of Volunteer Opportunity: Ongoing Estimated Hours per Week: 2
Schedule: Weekdays Daytimes Evenings
Time of Year Volunteers are Needed: 6 evenings in the fall, 6 evenings in the winters, or 18 days over the lunch hour
SCHEDULE:
Volunteer Category: Children or Youth
Requirements or Special Skills: We are looking for volunteers who enjoy working with children! We are also searching for those who have a positive attitude and demeanor, communicate well, and are dependable. We ask that volunteers provide two references. Background checks are required for those over 18. We are looking for helpers that are in high school, college, or are adults. Helpers are needed on Tuesdays over the lunch hours and Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 5:45-7:45pm.
