About Us:

American Legion Van Veen–Van Hemert Post 89 has proudly served veterans and the Pella community since 1919. Open to eligible veterans from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, Post 89 provides opportunities for veterans to connect, build camaraderie, and continue serving their community. Members are active in local parades, memorials, veteran honor services, scholarships, Boys State, youth programs, and other community projects, while also providing support to local veterans and their families. The Post welcomes veterans who want to stay connected, serve others, and make a difference in the Pella community.
