Pella Regional Health Center
As a regional hospital for South Central Iowa, Pella Regional Health Center provides area residents comprehensive healthcare with state-of-the-art technology. The critical access facility, fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, offers the following patient services: cardiac rehabilitation, CAT scans, echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, electroencephalograms, emergency room services, home health, hospice, laboratory, long-term care, nursing services, mammograms, occupational therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, medical imaging (MRI and nuclear medicine), speech pathology, surgery (ENT, general, opthalmologic, orthopedic and urologic) and ultrasounds. Medical staff specialists include family practice, general surgery, internal medicine, pathology and radiology.  The Medical Office Building houses Pella Medical Clinic and Pella Specialty Clinic, provides space for family practice physicians, surgeons, internists and an urologist. More than 30 specialists also provide part-time services at the Pella Regional Health Center.

Hospice of Pella Comfort House 
Hospice of Pella cares for people facing the end of life.  They focus on specialized symptom management and provide for emotional and spiritual needs that arise during the dying process.  They emphasize quality of life for patients and their families by using a team of professionals and trained volunteers.  The Comfort House provides:  a warm and inviting home-like atmosphere with access to covered porches; family friendly accommodations such as comfortable places to sleep, a family kitchen, play area for children; 24 hour care by a Hospice trained RN; nurses' aides to provide physical care; emotional support provided by a trained counselor; spiritual needs met by a pastor of their choice; Hospice volunteers to proved those "little extras;" care managed by an interdisciplinary team; early contact with bereavement counselors for both adults and children.

Christian Opportunity Center
The Christian Opportunity Center (C.O.C.) is a not-for-profit disability services organization that provides training to people with disabilities or other special needs.  From the beginning, C.O.C. has taken a practical approach in helping people with disabilities meet the challenges of independent living. Early on, children were taught to recognize traffic signs, tell time and count money. Today, adults are served and taught independent living skills tailored to their specific needs.

Crisis Intervention Services
Crisis Intervention Services are a free and confidential service for domestic abuse, sexual assault, and other crime victims, provides a 24-hour crisis line, crisis counseling and support groups, information/referrals, criminal/legal advocacy, economic advocacy, medical advocacy, Mom's Off Meth program, emergency shelter, transitional housing, and community education and training.  They are located at 612-1/2 Franklin Street.

Crossroads of Pella
Crossroads of Pella is a non-profit community based human service agency which seeks to be the first call for help, information, or referral services and offers short term psychotherapy for residents of the Pella school district and surrounding area.  Their mission is to enhance the well-being and fullness of life of those citizens living in and around the area of Pella, Iowa, without regard to the age, race, national origin, religious preference, handicap, or financial status of those it serves.  Crossroads services are entirely free to those who use them because they are mainly funded from local foundations, local businesses, and individuals who recognize the need and seek to fill it with financial gifts.  They are located on the 3rd floor of the Pella Community Center at 712 Union Street.  Services include:  crisis intervention, short term psychotherapy, information on support systems, referral information, development and facilitation of support groups and classes, speakers for community groups, financial assistance, illness support services, Pella transplant fund, mediation services, Pella's Annual Holiday Project, Victims Offenders Reconciliation Program (VORP), SHIIP (Senior Health Insurance Information Program), Empower (Sexual Abstinence Program), and much more.

Families First of Pella
Families First of Pella has been serving Pella since 1994.  They work to with parents to provide a chance for quality family time, including activities like the Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Bowling, Family Open Gym at Central College, and Family Time on the Square on Thursday nights.  Other services include the school parenting handouts for families with kids in K-8, the annual Parent University with a special keynote speaker and small group sessions, the Love and Logic parenting class, and workplace and library resources.  The Love and Logic classes teach parenting skills that cultivate confidence and good decision-making skills in children by offering choices, empathy, and respect while avoiding anger, threats, and warnings.  Love and Logic programs and resources include the Parent Education Sessions and the Community Meet & Eat.

Community Connections
Community Connections is a ministry serving all of Marion County and surrounding areas connecting people with needs to volunteers in area churches or agencies who can help.  Areas of skills offered include health care, office skills, construction or repair, maintenance, food preparation, child care, transportation, operating or repair of equipment, and domestic skills.

Journeys
Journeys is a new program that provides free assistance to people of all ages.  The Journeys Coordinator, a registered nurse, meets with people one on one (in the home, or wherever convenient for clients), addressing individual health concerns and encouraging people to plan for the future.  Journeys provides help with the following:  advance directive/living will completion (with free notary service), understanding illness and disease processes, discovering options in dealing with illness, managing symptoms, communication issues, goals for living, and resources available to promote a life-enhancing future.  When you have needs, and don’t know who to call, Journeys will research your options and help “connect” you with appropriate community resources.
