Based on the timeless classic children's book by E.B. White, Union Street players is pleased to bring you Charlotte's Web, "a story of friendship and salvation on a farm." The story begins with Wilber, a pig born a runt, and quickly rescued from an early death by the farmer's kind-hearted daughter, Fern. Wilber soon discovers the inevitable future of most pigs (Christmas dinner!) when he is sold to the Zuckerman farm, and turns to his fellow barnyard animals for help. Of all the animals to answer his plea, Charlotte A. Cavatica, the intelligent, talented, and prolific spider, vows to save Wilber using quite surprising tactics! This cast of lively characters is bound to leave you feeling terrific, radiant, and prehaps even humble by the journey's end!
